Tales of The Week

Jamila’s Yard Sale
Jamila and her friends have a yard sale. Right on their street.
The sun shines bright. Chirp! Chirp! Birds sing.
“Let’s help people get food!” Jamila says.
They set up tables. Tap! Tap! Tap! goes the hammer.
They squeeze lemons. Squish! Squish!
They stir the lemonade. Swirl! Swirl!
They bake doughnuts. Ding! The oven rings.
They frost cupcakes. Spread… spread…
Yum! Yum!
People come. They smile.
Some people have little money. Jamila says, “Take food for FREE!”
Some people have a lot. They drop some money in a box.
The box gets full.
“Let’s give it to the orphanage home!” Jamila and her friends cheer.
They carry the box together. Off to the home they march!
The children at the home smile happily.
Jamila smiles, “Sharing helps everyone grow strong!”
